Another Great Marketing Automation Infographic

Last year we featured two great infographics related to Marketing Automation.  We just stumbled upon another put out by those wild pals and gals over at HubSpot.  What’s interesting about this infographic is that it has some “unvarnished” facts and interpretations about what Marketing Automation is and should be.  Overall, we agree..Near the bottom of the infographic, there is a line we especially like:  ”Customer relationships should be based on real interaction with the assistance of marketing automation.”  We couldn’t agree more.  But what Marketing Automation can do is help you determine which of those customer relationships bring more long term revenue to your enterprise, so you know which ones to focus your limited, expensive human resources on.

So check it out and enjoy.  Thanks, HubSpot!

  1. One thing I don’t know if I agree with is the importance of Gmail’s Priority Inbox. I don’t like it and haven’t used it, so I’m not sure how many other people do. Thoughts?

      Hi Kristina,

From what I hear it’s a mixed bag. And it depends on how you read your email – continually, a few times a day, once a day, etc. Unless I’m on serious travel where I can’t plug in often or get good cell reception, I’m on top of my mailbox on a daily basis – and I get between 100 and 150 emails per day – but others do have serious backlogs. The prioritization of mail based on your own behavior sounds OK, but from a Marketer’s standpoint, Google may make it hard to get into that priority box. The good news is like you said yourself, you don’t use it so hopefully most people don’t.

      Peace.

      Best,
