Following a last year’s mischief, we are posting holiday carols for the tech/marketing/social crowd. With such hits as O Little Town of Twitterville, Talking In A Mobile Wonderland, S-E-O, S-E-O, S-E-O!, and Eloqua Fideles, we decided to give this year some spirit lifting anthems. Once again, it’s time for the B2B Twitterer of the Year Awards. Now in its third year, the Awards recognize B2B organizations for outstanding contributions in practicing, promoting, and/or enhancing business via the micro-blogging/social networking sensation Twitter.

At TWTRCON this past June, we found out about Tap11, a Twitter business intelligence platform that allows companies to track, engage, and increase their audience with great data mining, metrics & measurement, and business intelligence capabilities. Earlier in the spring, the San Francisco based company launched with over 100 major brands and marketing firms and is VC backed. Allinio had the privilege of asking Adam Zbar (@zman47), Tap11′s CEO, a few questions:

Last week Jep Castelein (@jepc) of LeadSloth posted a great blogging entry entitled “Best CRM for Marketing Automation: Salesforce.com, Microsoft, or Oracle?” and explained pragmatically what you need to think about when making the move to a Marketing Automation platform. One of the most important questions he asked is “Should you look at Marketing Automation options first?” There’s at least one Marketing Automation vendor out there that says it’s a viable choice…
This is the third anniversary of this blog. Similar milestones were previously acknowledged in 2009 and 2008 with much joy and pasta, but this year is extra special. Although it is still referred to as “The Marketing Consigliere” Blog, and written in the third person narrative, it is undergoing change as it figures out what kind of Marketing blog it wants to be when it grows up.
Earlier this spring the blog moved from its own domain to be under the Allinio brand. The whole site migrated to WordPress 3.0 when it was still beta. Some plugins were trashed, others were added, like the WP Touch, which formats this site with a mobile theme for the Apple iPhone / iPod touch, Google Android, Palm Pre and other touch-based smartphones. Book reviews have been a little more frequent, and the “Cinque Domande” (Five Questions) for startup executives has struggled because it’s hard for both the interviewer and interviewee to find the time to conduct the interviews.
